As a new client of Erlanger Veterinary Hospital, you can expect our full attention when it comes to your pets and their needs.
When you arrive for an appointment, you will be greeted by our Customer Service Representatives. You will be checked in and asked to be seated in the lobby, which is separated into two sides: Dogs on the right of the reception desk and cats, avians, and exotics on the left of the desk. If your pet is fearful or aggressive towards people or other animals, we will take you and your pet directly to an exam room to bypass the lobby.
One of our veterinary technicians will enter and ask you some questions about your pet; general history, what they eat, any medications they are on, and any questions or concerns you may have. They will discuss any vaccinations or blood work that is recommended for this visit and review pricing.
Your pet’s veterinarian will perform their examination, ask you further questions, then may recommend additional diagnostic tests, if needed. Once the tests have been completed, which can usually be done same-day in the practice, your pet’s doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Your veterinary technician will follow up with any prescribed medications and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. They will then process your payment in the exam room and help you out to your car. If you have extra time, we are happy to give you a tour of our hospital! Just ask your technician and we’ll be happy to show you around.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time! Occasionally, the unexpected will create delays but we will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
